Vivimos tiempos difíciles a los que ahora tenemos que sumar el VIRUS DEL ÉBOLA. En primer lugar hay que decir que aunque hay una gran alarma, este virus ha existido desde el año 1976 si bien es desde 1998 cuando ha existido mayor número de casos donde destaca el año 2014 en la que se ha desatado una epidemia.
No por ello, debemos quitar importancia al virus pero si conocer un poco los detalles del mismo para evitar males mayores que luego se producen. La base de todo sistema es la educación.
La enfermedad se puede transmitir a los humanos a partir de animales y materiales animales infectados. El Ébola también se puede propagar entre humanos por el contacto cercano con fluidos corporales infectados o a través de agujas infectadas en el hospital.
¿Cuáles son los fluídos que producen la enfermedad?
El virus se propaga en la comunidad mediante la transmisión de persona a persona, por contacto directo (a través de las membranas mucosas o de soluciones de continuidad de la piel, es decir, heridas, cortes, etc) con órganos, sangre, secreciones, u otros líquidos corporales de personas infectadas, o por contacto indirecto con materiales contaminados por dichos líquidos.
